I thought this was a fluke so I loaded up the game again, set to FULLSCREEN and the game crashed again. Select the High performance on the Preferred plans tab. I found that playing in windowed mode improved my enjoyment of the game. If you don't like how your game looks on full screen, here is something you might find useful.
I can play it fine if windowed but I don't want to do that and again I've been running fullscreen mode flawlessly up until now. blackmancer : hit Alt + Enter when the game is running to switch to full screen.
If you want to run D2 in windowed mode you have to right click your Diablo 2 shortcut, go to properties, and in the "Target:" field you should see something like I have this issue that some if not most games run in boderless windowed even when the game is set to fullscreen.
